Happy November π¦ π πͺ
Here is everything I read, watched, and liked last month -- and what I'm looking forward to this month
I share a weekly update on ways to be a better marketer, brand-maker, team-builder, and person. If you enjoy this, you can share some love by hitting the Substack heart button above or below.
Hi there π
Wishing you all a great month of November.
What are you up to this month? At Buffer, we are putting the finishing touches on 2021 planning, including some ambitious strategy & resource shifts that Iβd love to tell you about as the weeks go by. Also, this week is of course the US elections. I live in Boise, Idaho, which is kind of small-town USA .. but still USA nonetheless. We have the day off at Buffer to vote.
Hope you have a great week ahead,
Kevan

Here are 5 books I enjoyed in October

What Are You Going Through by Sigrid Nunez. A beautiful book about friendship.
All Adults Here by Emma Straub. A light, albeit sneaky-deep novel about family and how our actions influence the generations to come.
Playing to Win by A.G. Lafley and Roger Martin. Business strategy (my notes are here).
Some Days by Maria Wernicke. Short little childrenβs book about imagination and loss.
Eat a Peach by David Chang. The memoir of the famous New York chef.
Speaking of books, I came across this Medium post chock full of business books on all sorts of topics. The post is called The DTC Library, but the books themselves cover broadly applicable topics like brands, leadership, consumers, and strategy.
