10 of the best marketing, branding, and advertising accounts on TikTok right now
Hi there 👋
Some of the questions I get most often through this newsletter are about product marketing. And I think that’s a great thing! Companies are caring more about messaging, positioning, and story than ever before (this is great news for brand marketers, too.)
If you are a product marketer looking for your next thing or if you aspire to make the switch to PMM, drop me a note. I know a couple great places that are hiring!
Wishing you a great week ahead,
Kevan

Thank you for being part of this newsletter. Each week, I share playbooks, case studies, stories, and links from inside the startup marketing world and my time at Oyster, Buffer, and more.

TikTok accounts to follow
Funny enough, I once had a minor TikTok viral hit. This was three years ago, back when going viral meant hundreds of thousands of views, not millions, and when TikTok was more niche and silly and full of memes than the all-everything version it is today. (No need to look up the video! I’m blushing even thinking about it.)
Since that time, TikTok has changed immensely. For about one day, I felt like I knew what I was doing on the channel. Now, I hardly have a clue!
That being said, there are so many awesome creators who do know what they’re doing on TikTok.
And so many of these awesome creators are making inspiring, educational, entertaining content about the marketing work we do day-to-day.
My “For You” page has plenty of silly content about dogs and comedy and books and food and exercising and .. you name it. But for the purposes of this newsletter, let me tell you about some of the best marketing, branding, and advertising content that comes across my feed.
TikToks to Follow
1. shwinnabego
https://www.tiktok.com/@shwinnabego
Ashwinn runs a branding agency and a direct-to-consumer business, so he sees marketing and brand from multiple perspectives. His TikTok content is equal parts breakdowns of existing brands and businesses as well as stories and strategies of how to message and how to grow.
2. mischiefusa
https://www.tiktok.com/@mischiefusa
This is the group that created the Super Bowl commercial for Tubi, which made it seem like everyone’s smart TV was changing channels to the movie Mr. and Mrs. Smith. So not only is Mischief smart and creative, but they are very generous with behind-the-scenes campaign details and their latest advertising strategies.
3. hackyourhr
https://www.tiktok.com/@hackyourhr
Alright, I’m already breaking my rule by putting in a non-marketing account into my list of great marketing accounts. But hear me out! Amy Lentz Liberati, an HR exec at the footwear brand Toms, dishes on all sorts of People-related topics, but she has a ton of content around communication and executive presence — all of which I find extremely useful for marketers who need to manage up and manage across within their organizations.
4. BrandBossHQ
https://www.tiktok.com/@brandbosshq
Bill Harper runs WMH, an agency about business acceleration. He’s got some great frameworks and metaphors for brand-building. Check out the one above, and go search for his video about branding and tow trucks.
5. itssavannahjordan
https://www.tiktok.com/@itssavannahjordan
Savannah is CEO of Alpha Creative Agency. She mixes marketing advice in with personal stories — like the one about her pretty wild morning routine (6am ice bath??).

Jon Morgenstern works for Gary Vaynerchuk and tells you all the inside dirt on how VaynerMedia’s social accounts work (or don’t work).
7. catalyst.agents
https://www.tiktok.com/@catalyst.agents
Much like Mischief’s TikTok account, this fellow agency page has a ton of behind-the-scenes info but just as many actionable tips on what’s working on social media, AI, and more.
8. profmarinacooley
https://www.tiktok.com/@profmarinacooley
I owe a lot to Marina Cooley’s TikTok account because not only do I draw inspiration from her marketing tips and advice, but I also learn a lot from her about how to teach marketing — with my teams and with my classes.
9. _sun.yi
https://www.tiktok.com/@_sun.yi
Agency owner Sun Yi turns his high-quality podcast into high-quality TikToks, all based on a high-quality newsletter he runs. If you learn nothing from the videos, you can at least learn from the content repurposing!
10. hailymoulton
https://www.tiktok.com/@hailymoulton

If you’re a social media manager, Haily Moulton will make you laugh, make you cry, and make you relate so hard to her observations about the life of an SMM — and a marketer in general.
Over to you
Do you have any favorite TikTok accounts? Any awesome videos you’ve seen lately? I’d love to see them! Marketing, dogs, jokes, or otherwise!
